Image to video: set one still in motion
October 18, 2026 · Deepscene
Image to video starts from a picture you already have. You need at least one image. The prompt says how that picture should move. Further images are extra references, up to nine in all. Seedance 2.5 is the default. Kling 3.0 is the other choice. Duration starts at 5 seconds, aspect at 16:9, resolution at 720p, and audio is on.
How to use it
- Open Image to video.
- Upload the frame that should move. A product, a portrait, a place, or a still from Text to image all work.
- Write the motion: what shifts, what stays still, and any sound you want.
- Add more references only when another face or object has to appear.
- Generate. A later note edits the clip you just made.
Kling 3.0 stays at 720p and holds at most 15 seconds. Seedance 2.5 can run longer, up to about 30 seconds in one generation. The saved file is the clip the model returned.
Where to use it
Use Image to video when the frame is already right and the missing piece is motion: a pack that pours, a portrait that turns, a street that starts to breathe. Use Text to video when you are starting from words. Use Hypervisuals when you also have a locked last frame. Use Image to video again on a new picture when the motion is right but the frame is not.
What you pay
The per-second rates match Text to video. Seedance 2.5 is 5 credits a second at 720p and 2 at 480p, so the 5 second default at 720p is 25 credits. Kling 3.0 with audio is 4 credits a second. Starter is $15 a month for 150 credits. Creator is $39 for 420. Studio is $99 for 1,100. A standard still you make first, if you need one, is 2 credits. Plans renew monthly, you can cancel any time, and there is no setup fee. See pricing.
The first image is the frame that moves. Write the motion in the prompt so the clip does not wander into a different scene.
Questions
What if I only have words?
Image to video will not start without a picture. Write the clip in Text to video, or make the still first.
Can I change the clip after it lands?
Yes. A note on that result edits the file you just made.
