AI Clipper for YouTube, Drive, and uploads
October 21, 2026 · Deepscene
AI Clipper finds the moments worth posting in a video you already have. Paste a YouTube link, a Google Drive link, or upload a file. It reads the transcript, scores each moment, writes a hook and a post caption, and can reframe to vertical with the speaker's face. You choose what to export. Clip only videos you own or have permission to use. You confirm that before every run.
How to use it
- Open AI Clipper.
- Paste the link or upload the video. A new cut list spends source minutes up front. One source minute is one minute of that video, rounded up, with a minimum of 1.
- Read the ranked grid. Each card shows the time range, a score out of 100, and what drove it: hook, context, payoff, pacing, and shareability. A post caption and hashtags are there to copy. Preview plays that range.
- Export the clips you want as vertical, square, 16:9, or the original shape. Vertical and square follow the speaker's face. Captions are off unless you pick a style. Every export includes SRT and VTT, and you can edit the caption text first.
- Mashup, on the same page, cuts one story out of many videos in a public Drive folder.
Export, reframe, layouts, captions, and a later download do not spend more minutes. A new cut list on the same link does.
Where to use it
Use the Clipper on a podcast, a lecture, a livestream, or a long YouTube video when the raw file is already the performance. Use Reels or Text to video when you still have to make the picture. Clipper minutes are not image credits, and image credits are not Clipper minutes.
What you pay
The free allowance is 60 source minutes at 480p. Those files expire after 3 hours. Fetch again costs 1 clip minute and brings the video back for 3 hours. Titles, scores, post captions, and transcripts stay in History. Clipper is $15 a month, or $150 a year, for 600 source minutes. Paid exports include 720p and 1080p, no watermark, and rendered files kept 30 days. A $5 top-up adds 100 minutes for 60 days, spent after the monthly minutes. See pricing.
Questions
Does preview download the whole video first?
The Clipper reads the transcript, and previews play the range from the source. Rendered files are a separate download, with the retention above.
Is clipping included in Starter?
No. Starter, Creator, and Studio are generation credits for stills and video. Clipper is its own plan.
